President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday met behind closed doors with six state governors at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
All those in attendance are state governors elected on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress.
All the governors are also from the northern part of the country.
Those in attendance are Nasir el-Rufai (Kaduna); Tanko Al-Makura (Nasarawa); Abdullahi Ganduje (Kano); Ibrahim Geidam (Yobe); Mohammed Abdullahi (Bauchi); and Yahaya Bello (Kogi).
The President was joined at the meeting with the governors by his Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari.
The meeting was held inside the President’s official residence.
The governors also joined Buhari for the Juma’at prayers inside a mosque located close to his office.
None of the governors spoke with State House correspondents at the end of the meeting.
The Presidency has also not issued any statement on the meeting as of the time of filing this report.
