Assistant Head Coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Salisu Yusuf, on Monday said that the dead rubber game between Nigeria and their Algerian counterpart will be played mainly by the reserve team.
According to him, the game will create an opportunity to give some other players the opportunity to impress the coaching team.
Yusuf made the disclosure while speaking on the team’s preparation for the Algeria match which comes up November 11.
“Some of the players have not been opportune to play, so this match will offer them such opportunity.’
“We know there is nothing to be scared of because we already have the world cup ticket but our interest now is to have a blended team,“Yusuf said.
The coach also disclosed the team plan to finish the qualifiers undefeated hence, will be going out for a win in the game against Algeria even though the world cup ticket has been gotten already.
