Delta group inaugurates ‘Atikowa Movement’ for Atiku, Okowa

A group of youths from Delta State has inaugurated a political initiative tagged ‘Atikowa Movement’ to garnner grassroots support for the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, ahead of the 2023 general election.

The group, led by Oke Umurhohwo, met with the former Vice President Atiku on Friday in Abuja shortly after the formal unveiling of the Atiku/Okowa Movement during which Umurhohwo assured Atiku of mobilising grassroots voters.

The group called on Nigerians to use their Personal Voter Card effectively to stop the present leadership, which it described as directionless, noting that “the Atiku/Okowa partnership will offer great hope of turning around the fortunes of Nigerians.

Umurhohwo said, “Atiku’s policy document was a profound statement that he is prepared to fix Nigeria, considering his choice of running-mate, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, and this is why the Atikowa Movement is taking steps to actualising this noble goal, and the next few days, we will commence an ambitious move to rally voters at the grassroots.

“Our goal is for Nigeria to have a president that can solve problems, treat all Nigerians equal, not someone motivated by ethnicity or religious belief in decision-making; a president that will listen to Nigerians and not just to satisfy personal ambition and greed.”

In his response, the PDP Presidential candidate applauded the ‘Atikowa Movement’ initiators, saying he was pleased to see young Nigerians take a bold step to change the nation’s political narratives, and for seeing him as the best choice that could lead the country to greatness.
